Terms of use

Last updated: October 19, 2026

These terms govern your use of Staq (staq.gg), the online HQ for amateur and semi-pro esport teams. Staq is published by Killian Paulic, an individual established in France (see the legal notice). By creating an account, you accept these terms. If anything is unclear, email us at contact@staq.gg.

The French version of these terms is the reference version; this English version is provided for convenience.

The service

Staq lets a team manage its roster, collect its members' availability, plan sessions (scrims, matches, VOD reviews) with RSVPs, send reminders on Discord and by email, and export its schedule to a calendar (ICS feed).

The Free plan covers everything used to organize the team (roster, availability, planning, RSVPs, every Discord reminder, calendar feed, data export) and a preview of each progress tool: a monthly quota of AI scoreboard reads, a few strategies and lineups with share links, one VOD review, a limited opponent book and the last week of stats.

The optional, paid Pro plan raises those limits (members, Discord channels, AI reads, strategies, lineups, VOD reviews, opponents), keeps the full stats history with trends, adds the coach tools (notes, reviews and goals on player files) and removes the Staq banner from shared strategies. The exact limits of each plan are on the Pricing page.

Staq evolves: we may add, change or remove features. If a change significantly reduces what a paid plan offers, we'll tell you at least 30 days in advance.

Your account

You sign in with your Discord or Google account. These services send us your display name, email address, avatar and a technical identifier. We never receive your password.

You're responsible for access to your Discord or Google account, and for what's done from your Staq account. If you think someone is using it without your permission, tell us at contact@staq.gg.

The information you add (name, Riot ID, availability) must be yours and accurate. The Riot ID is a plain profile field: Staq doesn't connect to your Riot account.

You can delete your account at any time from the My account page. What that erases, and what stays with your teams, is described in the section on suspension, termination and deletion below.

Minimum age and minors

In France, you can use Staq on your own from age 15. Under 15, you need the consent of a person with parental authority. If you live in another country, the age set by your national law for consenting on your own to an online service applies (between 13 and 16 in the European Union); below it, you need a parent's consent.

Paid plans must be bought by an adult (18 or older), usually a member of the team's staff or a parent: the payer confirms it at checkout. The owner of an organization must also be an adult.

If we learn that an account was created without the required consent, we may suspend or delete it.

Teams and roles

A team is created by a user, who becomes its owner. The owner and managers handle the roster, invites, settings, the Discord integration and payment. Coaches and players access the team's content according to their role.

Joining a team through an invite link makes you visible to the other members: name, avatar, Riot ID if you've added it, availability and RSVPs.

The owner is responsible for the team on Staq. Before leaving Staq, the owner transfers the team to another member or deletes it.

When a team is deleted, its data (schedule, availability, stats, strategies, reviews, opponent pages) is erased. This can't be undone.

Your content

Everything you and your team add to Staq (availability, sessions, notes, strategies, lineups, reviews, opponent pages, screenshots, images, results) stays yours. Staq claims no ownership over it.

To run the service, you give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide permission to host, copy, process and display that content to your team's members and to the people you share a link with, and for nothing else. It ends when the content is deleted, subject to the technical delays described in the privacy policy.

What you create within a team is part of the team's work: if you leave the team or delete your account, it stays with the team.

You confirm you have the right to share what you add. For VODs and lineups, Staq only stores a link to the video (YouTube, Twitch, Streamable...) and your notes: the video remains subject to the rules of the service hosting it.

A share link (for a strategy, for example) is accessible to anyone who has it. Only share what you want to make visible.

AI analysis

Scoreboard analysis sends the screenshot you upload to our AI provider (Anthropic) to extract the stats. The reading is a best effort and can be wrong: always check the rows before saving, especially those Staq flags as uncertain, and correct them if needed. That human check is part of the feature.

The number of AI reads per month depends on your team's plan.

We only keep the rows of your team's players. The screenshot, which also shows the opposing team's names, is deleted 30 days after upload.

Stats and trends are aids to improve, not an official truth, and never a player ranking.

Only upload screenshots of games your team played in, and nothing else (no photos of people, no documents).

Code of conduct

On Staq, we play competitive, never toxic. In particular, you agree not to:

  • harass, threaten, insult or humiliate anyone, including in notes, team names or opponent pages;
  • post content that is illegal, hateful, sexual or infringes other people's rights;
  • impersonate a person or a team;
  • use Staq to cheat, run betting, sell accounts or boosting;
  • collect other users' data, scrape the service or work around its technical limits;
  • try to access data not meant for you, disrupt the service or introduce malicious code;
  • send spam through Discord reminders or use the Discord integration against Discord's rules.

You also follow the terms of the third-party services you use with Staq (Discord, Google, Riot Games, YouTube, Twitch).

If you see illegal content on Staq, report it to contact@staq.gg and tell us where it is. We handle reports promptly.

Discord integration and bot

Reminders reach Discord in one of two ways, chosen by the team's staff: a webhook (a manager pastes into Staq the address of a webhook created on their server) or the Staq bot (optional), added to the server and linked to a channel with a one-time code generated in Staq. Either way, Staq posts messages in that channel on the team's behalf. You must be allowed to configure that server or channel.

The bot asks for the minimum permissions (see the channel, send messages and embeds, read the channel's history). It only receives the /staq commands and clicks on its buttons; it doesn't read the channel's messages. When your Discord account is linked to Staq, an answer given with a button counts as your RSVP.

Webhook addresses are stored encrypted. You can remove a webhook or unlink a channel at any time in Staq (or with /staq unlink), and remove the bot from your server.

Staq isn't made by Discord. If Discord changes or shuts down webhooks or bots, reminders may stop.

Paid plans and prices

Pro unlocks the progress tools for one team: one person pays, the whole team benefits. Prices in euros, VAT included:

  • Pro subscription: €9.99 per month or €79.99 per year, renewed automatically until you cancel;
  • Season pass: €23.99 in a single payment for 90 days of Pro. It never renews and no card is kept. Another pass adds 90 days after the end of the current access;
  • Extra teams (organization): one adult pays Pro for a first team, then one seat per extra team: €2.99 per month, €23.99 per year, or €6.99 per team for 90 days with a season pass. Each covered team gets all of Pro, with its own limits.

A seat added during a subscription period is charged pro rata for the rest of that period. A seat freed when a team leaves the organization stays billed until you remove it from the organization page.

Free trial. The owner or a manager can start a 7-day Pro trial whenever they choose, once per team, with no card. When the trial ends, the team goes back to Free automatically: nothing is charged, nothing is deleted.

Promo codes. A code can grant days of Pro or a discount. It's limited in time and number of uses, valid once per team, and can't be exchanged for cash.

The price that applies is the one shown at checkout. During a temporary discount, the struck-through reference price is the lowest price applied in the previous 30 days.

Payment through Creem, merchant of record

Paid plans are sold by Creem (creem.io), run by Armitage Labs OÜ (Estonia), acting as merchant of record: Creem is the seller. It takes the payment, calculates, collects and remits the VAT of your country, issues the invoice in its own name and carries out refunds. Creem's buyer terms apply to the payment; Staq remains responsible for the service itself.

You enter your payment details at Creem. Staq never sees or stores your card details.

Your invoices and your payment method are in Creem's customer portal, reachable from your team's Billing page (Payment and invoices).

Renewal, cancellation and end of Pro

Renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (month or year), at the price you subscribed at. If we ever had to change that price for a running subscription, we'd tell you at least 30 days before the renewal concerned, and you could cancel before then.

Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your team's Billing page or Creem's customer portal. Pro stays active until the end of the period already paid, with no renewal afterwards. Cancelling an organization's plan also cancels its extra-team seats.

When Pro ends. When Pro stops (end of a trial or pass, cancellation, unpaid renewal, refund), the team goes back to Free. Its data is kept and what exceeds the Free limits stays readable, but nothing more can be created beyond those limits, and Pro features pause until a new payment.

Refunds and right of withdrawal

14-day refund. You can get a full refund of a subscription within 14 days of its first payment, or of a season pass within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason: email contact@staq.gg from your account's address and name the team concerned. Creem pays the refund back to the payment method used, and the refund ends, right away, the Pro access it paid for.

After that, a payment (renewals included) isn't refunded, except where the law requires it (for example a lack of conformity, or Staq shutting down).

Right of withdrawal. If you're a consumer, the law gives you 14 days from the subscription to withdraw, without giving a reason (article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code). Pro starts at your request as soon as you pay: in that case the law would allow us to keep an amount proportionate to the service already provided (article L221-25). We don't: a withdrawal within that period is refunded in full, under the rule above, whatever Creem's own terms say about withdrawal.

To withdraw, any clear statement works, for example an email to contact@staq.gg. You can also use this model form:

To Killian Paulic (Staq), contact@staq.gg: I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the provision of the following service: (plan and team concerned). Ordered on: (date). Name: (your name). Account email address: (your address). Date: (today's date).

Service availability

We do our best to keep Staq available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we make no service level commitment (SLA). Maintenance may happen, preferably outside match nights.

Reminders depend on third-party services, Discord first: a reminder may arrive late or not be sent. Don't rely on it alone for an important deadline, such as a tournament's registration close.

We back data up every day, but keep your own copy of anything critical to you.

Liability

Staq is an organization tool. We're not responsible for your team's decisions, your match results, or other users' behavior.

If you're a consumer, you benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital services for as long as the service is supplied (articles L224-25-12 and following of the French Consumer Code). Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer, or our liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct or personal injury.

If you use Staq for business purposes (for an esport organization, for example), our liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damages and capped at the amount paid for your team over the previous 12 months.

Suspension, termination and account deletion

You can stop using Staq and delete your account at any time from the My account page. Before that, transfer the teams you own that have other members, cancel the subscription you pay for, and empty the organization you own.

Deleting your account erases your personal data: the account is anonymized and can never sign in again. What you created in a team (strategies, VOD notes, stats) stays with the team, without your name. Teams where you were the only member are deleted.

If you break these terms, we may remove the content concerned, or suspend or close your account or a team, warning you first when possible. For serious abuse (harassment, illegal content, security threats), we may act without notice.

The owner or a manager can export all of the team's data as a file at any time.

If we ever shut Staq down, we'll tell you at least 60 days in advance, so you have time to export your team's data. Running subscriptions and season passes are refunded pro rata for the unused period.

Riot Games

Staq isn't endorsed by Riot Games and doesn't reflect the views or opinions of Riot Games or anyone officially involved in producing or managing Riot Games properties. Riot Games, and all associated properties are trademarks or registered trademarks of Riot Games, Inc. Details on the Riot Games page.

Some game-related features (map names and visuals, scoreboard analysis) may be changed or removed if Riot Games' rules require it.

Staq's intellectual property

The Staq brand, logo, website, code and the content we create are protected. You can use them as part of the normal use of the service, not copy, resell or build a competing service from them.

If you send us an idea or feedback, we may use it to improve Staq, with no obligation to you. Thanks in advance.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change. For a significant change, we'll tell you at least 30 days in advance, in the app or by email. If you disagree, you can delete your account and cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If you're a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of your country's mandatory rules.

If something goes wrong, email us first at contact@staq.gg: we'll look for an amicable solution.

For a dispute about a payment, Creem's buyer terms also give EU consumers free access to the Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee.

Failing an agreement, the dispute goes to the competent French courts. If you're a consumer, you can also bring it before the court of the place where you lived when the contract was concluded or when the damage occurred.
